In your eyes
I gaze at the Eternal
beyond reason and common sense
I see the Soul rising from the depths
I see a yearning, a longing, for what we both have known and shared:

             such Holiness must be tenderly treated

             for it shuns the light of day

            of reason's cold, hard ways
