The acrid smell of exhaust fumes
hang heavy over Shoal Creek Blvd. this mornin
yet birds do sing, the mornin dove
does call
joggers, walkers, and bikers
avail themselves of Nature's Replinishment

Despite the fog of civilization
'tis still a Path of Rejuvenation

MY CHURCH

I build my church
slowly
step-by-step
its wall, arches and windows
are people, souls who I nourish
and am nourished by

My church is a living, breathing
organism
like the Earth, itself
not dead, inanimate as some people would believe
but like the vales, mountain tops, and valleys
the Sacred Places of the Earth speak to us
as do the walls of my church
each stone a living Soul
full of divine, vibrant Life Force

PASSION

Passion is a wild
and unruly creature
it must be handled  by a
gentle and knowing hand

Nurtured
so that its flame does not go out
left unattended
it can drive one mad
or harden in one's breast
becoming poisonous as a viper

But given proper care
Passion makes the dew glisten
the sunrise magical

Passion is an ally, my friend
treat it well

Oh Lucifer!
thou poor miserable creature
Once beloved of God
jealous of Man and outcast
miserable wretch that thou are

under the curse of Heaven

By the wound of a Lover's Sword

the gaping chasm within himself

the power that rises up to greet me

and I am met by an exalted sense of well-being

HIDDEN BEAUTY

Let us not wake the Sleeping Princess of the Dawn
for hers is a Hidden Beauty
In her dreams she carries our destinies
guards them with her life

PARADISE LOST

What is life as a Wanderer
traveling
from one Unknown to another Unknown
enduring primitive hardships
never too comfortable
lest
life lose its meaning

As soon as conscious purpose
worms its way into one's way of being
Innocence is lost

Firmly rooted in the Unknown
the Wanderer finds his place in life

KEPPING STILL

As I entered the Chaos
of the Universe
I was bombarded by all manner
of bizarre influences and suggestions
only by the iron will of resistance
was I able to establish a reference point, a fortress

From there I sought to apprehend the Divine Laws and Mysteries
constantly invoking the power of Keeping Still
By the profoundest concentration were the laws
given expression in my own person
My Inner Being was so strengthened and intensified
that currents of power like bolts of lightning
ran thru me

Truly, I was humbled
awed by the Forces of Creation
and sought rest in my Fortress of Stillness

ANCIENT PATHWAYS

Ancient Pathways
Inroads into the Unknown
Unlike Information highways endless with no destination
The Path of the Old leads to The Way
the exploration is an Inner Journey
Truly, the Kingdom Within

A SPIRITUAL BODY

Beginning in the Heart
a warm, vivid glow
spreading thu-out the body
encompassing, surrounding
dissolving

A New Body emerges
the Spiritual Body
full of Light, no boundaries
with form, but shapeless
unimaginable to our conventional conceptions
Pure Being without limitation

PASSION

Passion is the essence of a woman
but in a man, unrefined
it's only beastly
it leads him on a quest for dominance
but submission, revelry is reserved
for woman
she must lead the man
in the ways of love
he must be willing to follow
surrender his dominant role

Born of the two
woman and man
Love's passion leads to Spiritual heights
unknown by other paths

EVE

From the beginning, since God made man
he has yearned for companionship

And then there was Eve

The first Eve was Hell on Wheels
too much for Adam
so God made a down-sized, subdued version


But Eve still roams
she plucks men at random
but quick is she done with them
then Eve roams

Amid the Forest and wild things
Eve roams, she inhabits nowhere
but yet she is with us
for Eve has yet to meet her match
until then
Earth will know no Peace

There was a yearning
And then there was Eve...

UNSHADOWED BY REFLECTION

Maintain
Confidence in your own Innocence
listen not to others
only that without conscious purpose
is blameless

Original Man is unshadowed by reflection
has no guile in his heart
follows confidently the impulses from therein
lest he pause and lose that which is his own

Stay close to your Inner Being
carry your exalted sense of well-being
with you, alway

IN THE MOMENT OF PASSING

In the moment of passing
a profound mystery is revealed
the meaning of which
can be preconceived
by Keeping Still

Out of Love,was Life created
and to the same, does it return

Bask in Love, as do
sea lions in the sun

GATES OF NIRVANA

Build a fire, a boiling cauldron
heat it up
The fire of the fourth chakra
propels you to the crown
but once there, you must Wait
Abide thy time
for the Gates of Nirvana
cannot be taken by force
one must be led, like a lamb
as the storm subsides, the moment exists
for itself

IN SEARCH OF THE INFINITE

Every morning to rise
in search of the Infinite
the Spiritual Substance
that lies at the heart of all our desires

Keeping Still, biding time
Pray that it shall find me
layer after layer of reason's false premises
fall aside, until at last
a Pure, Innocent Heart
is revealed

TAKE COMMUNION

Take Communion, daily
with thine Creator
renew, refresh, empower
yourself
for so it is intended

Paying homage to factory whistles
school bells
is sacrilege
the time clock of our Souls
is reflected in how brightly they shine

If ye measure, keep count
increase the amount of Light
you bring to the Darkness
how much unconscciousness did you unravel
bring to the Light this day

What of the Divine Mysteries
did you embrace
truth be told by the knowing smile
upon your face

ENRAPTURED HEART

I sit in quiet contemplation
waiting
then of a sudden
my heart is filled with the Rapture
of His Presence

'tis ecstasy pure and sweet
dissolving all barriers, griefs and sorrows
a deep well extending down to the Foundation of Being
flowing over with exaltation

From my heart, thru-out my body
a warm, vivid Light glows
connecting me to Heaven above
dissolving my physical limitations

I am Spirit
I am Spirit

WANDER

With a gentle acceptance of that which is without
and a firm strength within
I wander the Unknown
with the comforting knowledge
that I am a Son of Heaven
in whom the heavenly and earthly world
meet in mystical contact

MAKE THE PLAY

Subconscious hints, impulses
we should always follow
for they prove to be of necessity
far more than the conscious mind can conceive
coming from a time not yet our own
but filled with substance and direction

'tis like a game
to get to the next level
one must make the play
otherwise
one is relegated to stagnation
the curse of life

QUEEN OF ARABY

Why do I feel we are engaged
pre-destined to come together
Since the beginning of time
you and I have lain side by side

distant beings, now, it would seem
yet intimately bound in-heart
irresistibly attracted in spirit
Something mysterious, mystical stirring
below the surface

tho it comes with a Fright
it upholds Promises made in the Night

HIDDEN TREASURE

a luminous blue dot
in the midst of a dark empty sky

in all this vast universe
there is a small treasure box well-hidden
which contains the secret to health, happiness and well-being
its neatly tucked away in the human heart
the kingdom within

LINGER IN PEACE

The waters are stilled
calm and deep
in meditation I am uplifted to herculean heights
but it is only a staging point
an Eternity of crests and peaks
rise and fall around me
in an ever expanding Universe

Yet my attention is captured
by a pinpoint of an Angelic Presence
from which a blinding Light radiates
I know that it is thru this portal that I must emerge
here, all my desires, yea all conflict
lay quenched

Great Peace at this Pinnacle
the chaos of existence transforms
into a slow, graceful ballet
in great Stillness, Peace and Simplicity
are all dichotomies resolved
to be sure, here, lie the shores of  Man's evolution
tho life beckons, calling me back, linger here I must
if but for awhile

HAS CHRIST RISEN

Christ rises not from the Cross
but in our own consciousness
if our minds are stuck-in-the-mud (matter)
material wealth, material power, material girl-boy
how can we partake of the Resurrection

Celebration of the Resurrection requires internalization
of elevated Consciousness
seeing the Light, the Angelic Presence

I spread white rushes
for you to walk upon

prepare the way

a Shield of Love
