I am a Modern Day Johnny Appleseed
onliest difference being
that in my side-satchel I carry not
appleseeds, but sunflower
and most of the territory I cover
is not fertile ground, but concrete and asphalt

ORIGINAL SELF

In re-discovering your Original Self
unknown since childhood
one must overcome the influenze of Fate
develop enough Inner Strength and Independence
to overcome the vicissitudes of Fate
in so doing, there is immediate Peace, Contentment
a quiet security of heart

Awakening to the Self within
is usually a matter of the Self
speaking to you
its not as if the Self has been silent
but, more that Fate has blocked communication

The moment of Awakening
is characterized by Receptivity
a willingness to hear
the Self has always been waiting and willing
held captive within the Heart

HEART

In the quiet security of Heart
I rest my cares, ambitions and sorrows
the fullness of this moment
leaves no time nor space
for yesterdays or tomorrows

FLOW LIKE PURE WATER

As a meandering stream knows not where it will go, but
with a steady flow fills up deep places blocking its progress
So too, man faced with  a foreboding situation
if he stays true to what is Pure and Innocent
will flow like water thru the difficulties ahead

Water, "does not shrink from any dangerous spot
nor from any plunge" (I CHING)

Did you not know
but then
you have always known
haven't you
I have been waiting
deep in the place of your dreams
when you called, was I not there
at once, by your side, in this place
us, who we are, where we are
remains eternal, only time changes
flowing like a river
in which we stand
ankle deep

YOUR EYES

Your eyes soft with love
the Innocence of childhood
a glimmer a glimpse
and the Soul's shy smile
timidly ventures out
nurtured by a gentle hand

THE KISS

The kiss of my Soul
I lay upon yor lips
may your heart
rise to meet it

LIGHT

Light from the beginning of time
Light from the edges of the Universe
Light from the far reaches of beginning and end
enfold upon themselves
to create an unitive experience--this moment

FORGIVENESS

I have forgiveness in my heart
but let me not be buried with it
forgiveness is but the compost
rich humus
of New Beginnings

SOLITUDE

Solitude is time spent with your Soul
it can be rich and rewarding
loneliness is an affliction
of personality
its almost always, tedious

DEATH COME AS YOU MAY

Death, come as you may
a sweet relief from drudgery day-to-day
my body is worn, my Soul, torn
come, come as you may

BY FLAME AND FIRE

By storm my subconscious rose
like a boiling cauldron a raging volcano
inflicting chaos and destruction on all around
by flame and fire
sparing naught
nay, even my desire...

by cruelties of fate
that which hardens the body
lay soft over my soul

with but a gentle touch
a slight nudge
two hearts slip into celestial orbit
divinely patterned, a mandate
summoning lovers unto the heavens

IN THAT MOMENT

the moment of our meeting
lingers with us alway
in that moment
divinely imprinted by fate
inner and outer coincide in perfect harmony
in that moment
the world revealed itself in the fullness of its Natural Splendor 

THIS MOMENT

This moment has its joys and sorrows
This moment will pass, give way to tomorrow
yet it lives on
forever
here, in my heart

ON THE HUNT

live hungry, never get full
stay hungry, for
the hunt is superior to the feast
feed only, to be on the Hunt, again

IN THE MOMENT

In the moment, of the moment
moment to moment
the countless waves of the incoming tide
ceaseless, eternal

give up clutching, holding
let go, surrender
the moment is full forever
yea, brimming over
the Divine provides...
hence, Divine Providence

I have wrent pain and destruction
upon my body
in an attempt to bring forth what is within
yea, I have been too coarse in my methods
I am need of Grace and Gentleness
in my practice
but i will stay the course

SILENCE

By the silence of their ears
God speaks thru their hearts
and never is Divine Wisdom heard
by mortals alone
Praise be  to the Silent Testimony
that issues forth
from organs so pure

loneliness
vast, empty loneliness
unendurable but endured
carving, craving wrenching my Soul

INDIAN BASEBALL

Did I ever tell you about Indian baseball?
the concept differs from traditional baseball
a unique twist...
an inning lasts until the team at bat
scores as many runs as the opposing team!

The emphasis is on PLAY...no winners, no losers

were this concept applied across the board
we would be in the midst of CULTURAL REVOLUTION

PEARLY GATES

What a shallow, shallow man is he
that can see life only thru his own desires and proclivities
for compassion, empathy and understanding
are the Keys to the Pearly Gates on High

CREATION

Creation is an ongoing process
Birth>Death>Rebirth
every moment of time dies and comes forth again
bursts free from the fetters of the moment before

living homeless
has taught me a valuable lesson
form no attachments
not to people, not to places, not to things
